Monday, Monday!

I've got a very busy week ahead of me and today did not start it out so well! But with it starting out rough, it can only get better...right?!? Let's pray so! This Saturday I am doing the pictures for Calvary Baptist's Lady's brunch! It will be neat to see how well they turn out and how much they enjoy the opportunity to have a picture taken with Grandmothers, Mothers, Daughters and so on! I'm always honored to "Capture Memories" for others! And I am very excited that I was asked and given this opportunity! I'm taking baby steps with my photography business and word of mouth is by far the best advertisement! Hopefully everything will turn out fantastic and everyone will be pleased!!! I'll have some new pics posted soon!

TGIF!!!

What a week this has been! I feel like I've run a marathon everyday and I can't seem to get enough sleep to feel rested!!! AND I've got a busy schedule between now and the time we go on vacation at the end of June!!! Literally something every weekend! Thinking about what I have to do makes me tired! But I'm blessed and try to take advantage of every opportunity! Next weekend I'll be doing family photos for Calvary Baptist's Ladies group. They are having a "Mother/Daughter" brunch and what a wonderful opportunity to take a family (generation) photo! I am really looking forward to it! God keeps blessing me with opportunities to learn and grow with my business! I'm excited almost like a kid at Christmas! Photography has always been a passion and it's great that I'm able to share that with others! Well...I had better get ready for work! Check back soon for more photos and updates!!!

Just a funny picture of my neices Addison and Ashlyn and my Laylah I wanted to share with y'all! If you ever need entertainment...come to the Waters house!!!

Jekyll Island, April 18, 2009

Well! We started out yesterday heading to St. Simons Island and after getting lost, about 3 times, we wound up at Jekyll! God bless Julie and her kids! They were very patient with me! We ended up with a few good pics but mostly we just enjoyed our day! I prefer a little bit of an over cast day because you don't have to worry with "squinty" eyes or shadows! But again, the kids had a ball playing! Hopefully on our next trip, time and the sun (and directions!) will be in our favor! Below are a few of my favorites!

*PS...I'm playing with a "logo" for my photos! Tell me what you think! I like the look of initials for "Sarah Waters Photography". It takes up less space in the corner of the photo!

Oh what a beautiful morning!!!

I don't know if it's because I didn't have to go to work this morning or if it is because we've had rain the past two days but the sunshine has never been brighter!!! I have enjoyed watching the sun rise while sipping cappucino thismorning! Laylah just woke up and we're getting ready to head to Savannah then Statesboro for appointments today! And I'm looking forward to the beach this weekend also! I've changed my plans so instead of Tybee, we're going to St. Simons! There aren't many going with us but it's going to be a great time! We'll get some pictures early in the morning and then play the remainder of the day!!! IF the weather forecast doesn't change it looks to be a beautiful day!
Well I'd better go finish getting ready!

Awesome Software!

First I want to say that Laylah is much better today! Thank goodness! Unfortunately it's raining again so I'm stuck in the house playing on the computer! I just wanted to share that I've recently purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 and am LOVING this software! You may have already noticed some of the photos in the slideshow below from Haley & Matt's wedding. This photo editing software is unreal! And I can not stop editing photos just seeing what all it does!

Short story!...In December 2007, Laylah and I went to the Botanical Gardens in Statesboro (check it out when you get a chance!) to take a picture for our Christmas card. While there, we found a beautiful rose bush and Laylah just had to smell it! My child loves flowers! Well, she didn't just smell it! She practically embedded her face in it! It was a precious moment and of course, I got a picture of it! : ) But these are the types of pictures I love! I will forever look at the picture and remember every flower that she just had to pick! But I'm adding this picture to my blog just to show you how awesome the picture turned out! Of course I made everything black & white except the red rose! When I took the picture, I could see it the way it is now! And I'm SO excited to have such awesome software to work with!!! Hopefully I'll have many more opportunities to put it to good use!

Matt & Haley

What a beautiful day!!!

So today was scheduled to be a fun filled day at the beach full of beautiful pictures and of course a little sand castle construction! : ) Unfortunately, my Laylah is sick with a stomach virus so we will have to reschedule for hopefully 4/18/2009! If you're interested, please let me know!
I'm working on posting a slideshow of a few pictures I took last weekend for the *NEW* Mr. & Mrs. Matt DeBeltrand! Check it out once it's posted! I was very pleased with the pictures and was honored to be a small part of their big day!
